Short version: the website uses no cookies and no trackers, so there is no cookie banner. The app only stores what it needs to work on your phone.
Dutch law (article 11.7a of the Telecommunications Act) and EU law say that storing or reading information on your device needs your consent, unless it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for or, for analytics, has little or no impact on your privacy. This page explains what Rizzable does.
1. Website: no cookies
rizzable.eu sets no cookies and does not use localStorage, sessionStorage or any other storage in your browser. There are no advertising, social media or third-party analytics scripts, and fonts and images are served from our own site.
2. Website: cookieless page counter
To see which pages are useful, the site can send a small page-view ping to our own server with the page path, the language and the referring website. Nothing is stored on your device. The server keeps only daily totals per page and per referring domain, and counts unique visitors with a hash of IP address and browser that is calculated in memory with a key that changes every day and is never saved. Bots are ignored.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the ping is not sent at all.
3. Contact form
The contact form doesn’t send anything to our website: it opens your own email app with your message filled in, and you decide whether to send it.
4. In the app
The app stores a few things on your phone (in the app’s own storage), all needed for the app to work as you expect:
- Your sign-in session, so you stay logged in.
- Your language choice.
- Whether you turned seasonal effects on or off.
- A copy of the latest app settings, so the app also starts when your connection is poor.
- Which announcements you have dismissed, so you don’t see them again.
There are no advertising IDs, tracking SDKs or third-party analytics in the app. Because all of this is strictly necessary or a choice you made yourself, no consent is required. Logging out or deleting the app removes it.
5. Changes and contact
If we ever want to use cookies or similar technology that needs consent, we will ask you first and update this page. Questions: support@rizzable.eu.
